The Sisterhood Support Peer Initiative (SSPI) is a program developed by sister volunteers who came together with the strong desire to create a safe space for sisters who are in need of support and access to resources for mental health and wellness.

This is a peer-led program run by volunteers. Volunteers are not mental health professionals and if there is a need for immediate professional help, we will point you to the best resources.

Sisterly Support.

The mission of SSPI is to promote positive mental health and well being by providing a variety of resources to sisters. The SSPI Ambassador Program is an initiative that connects sisters to sister volunteers (“ambassadors”), who are trained in a range of topics - including SA/SV, intersectionality, mental health, and much more. Additionally, the SSPI provides online resource materials to sisters on various topics, including bystander intervention, anti-racism, and how to support victims/survivors of SA/SV.

Safe Space.

The SSPI program aims to provide sisterly support and create safe environments for sisters to discuss emotional well-being, while raising awareness for mental health and wellness.

This program is not intended or implied to be a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In an emergency, dial 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
