What happens if my chapter doesn’t meet the minimum 45% attendance?

An Active House who does not meet the minimum requirement of 45% attendance will incur a $200 fine per person missing up to the 45% attendance requirement IN ADDITION TO the registration fee for each person.

Registration

Am I able to opt out of certain parts of Convention to have a reduced ticket cost?

No, we have calculated the cost of all Convention logistics with the expectation that attendance will be on par with previous years.

How do I request a refund?

There are no refunds for Convention registration. If you are no longer able to attend Convention and are not able to transfer your registration to another sister, please contact us at convention@akdphi.org.

Can I transfer my registration?

Yes, you can transfer your registration within the same Chapter. Please complete the Transfer Form and email us at convention@akdphi.org to confirm the form was submitted. The last day to request a registration transfer is May 9, 2025.

Hotel

Can I check-in/check-out early?

Check-in: Early check-in at the hotel is available on a case-by-case basis. If you would like to check in before the 4pm check-in time, please ask at the front desk. There may be a fee associated with early check-in. In the event the hotel is unable to accommodate an early check-in, you may leave your luggage at the front desk upon request.

Check-out: Yes, you can check-out anytime prior to 12pm of your departure date. Please note there are no refunds if you leave early.

Can non-aKDPhi guests stay with me in the hotel room?

No, non-aKDPhi guests may not stay with you in the hotel room. All hotel rooms booked under alpha Kappa Delta Phi for Convention 2025 are for aKDPhi Convention attendees only.

Can I stay a few days early or stay a few days later than official Convention dates?

Yes, however, you will be responsible for the cost of the room for the additional days. This will need to be paid separately. Also, we are unable to guarantee the same Convention Room Rate. Please fill out the Additional Hotel Nights Request Form no later than May 14, 2025.

Will there be transportation provided to and from the airports?

No, please utilize public transportation or rideshare services to and from the airport. You can learn more about the options in our Travel Guide.

COVID-19

What happens if someone tests positive for COVID?

Please see COVID QMS.

If I test positive for COVID during Convention 2025, is aKDPhi paying for my hotel and flight?

No, aKDPhi will not cover the cost of the hotel. Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 will be responsible for their own hotel and lodging.

No, aKDPhi will not be covering the cost to reschedule your flight. The member is responsible for reaching out to the airline to request a rescheduled flight due to a positive COVID test. You will be responsible for any costs associated with your travel.
